anciliary text

Above is our complete anciliary text. The member of our group who completed this was Thom. He got his ideas and inspiraitons from kasabian - shoot the runner, Paulo Nutini and itunes as tips to help with our dvd cover. After researchig the differnt DVD cover, i think he went for a differnt aproach to an indie rock band as the DVDs would be more darker. He went brighter colours so it can stand out in an magazine and the audience is mainly youth, which this would be eye-catching towards a youth.

  1. There is proficient evidence of research into similar products and a potential target audience. Time was well organised initially but did drop towards the end of the course. Research and planning is well presented and illustrated on the blog, with proficient skill in IT and communication.
There is evidence of proficiency in the creative use of many technical skills. The opening sequence makes use of a variety of well framed shots from an array of angles. There is an interesting and creative shot from inside the fridge. Outside shots are again, steady and well framed, making use of a variety of locations which aid meaning, making the narrative very apparent to the viewer. There is clever use of the bands branding through images of them in a variety of places in the video. The editing of the text was excellent, with ly syncing problems over-come. There is proficiency in the creative use of technical skills for the two print texts. The photo which appears in the video has been manipulated for the ancillary texts. The shot is well framed, with appropriate decions made about colour and layout. There is some excellent comparison to other texts. Chris took part in the film and also in the filming of several scenes. He was with the group the majority of the time and seemed to make a good contribution to the video. He did not, however fully contribute to the planning of the subsidiary texts.
